Are you in Adelaide and looking for something fun to do? Did you know you can be cruising through the heart of wine country on an eBike within the hour? McLaren Vale is a stunning region, with a fabulous choice of cellar doors, cafes and restaurants scattered amongst the vineyards and along the coastline. There is a network of bike trails and gorgeous back country roads to cycle along, and a friendly vibe like nowehere else!

Getting to McLaren Vale from Adelaide

Getting to McLaren Vale from Adelaide city is easy! McLaren Vale is a scenic 45 minute uber ride down the Southern Expressway. Alternatively, trains depart ~half hourly from Adelaide Railway Station to Seaford. Buses from Seaford Railway station complete the trip with a 10 minute ride into McLaren Vale. More details here.

Collecting your eBike

SA eBikes make it super easy! You can walk into the Visitor Centre in Main Street McLaren Vale to hire your eBikes, or we have eBikes available for pre-bookings from 6 locations throughout McLaren Vale.  We can even meet you at the Seaford Railway station if you want to ride into McLaren Vale from there, or we can deliver and/or pickup eBikes to/from locations of your choice in the region - we are flexible, and keen to make your day fantastic!

Things to do in McLaren Vale

The region has an amazing selection of boutique cellar doors you can drop into along your ride but there are also quirky sculptures, galleries, markets, historic townships, and, of course, spectacular coastline!

Here are a few ideas of what you can do in the area on an eBike.

Ride to the coast and have lunch at The Little RickshawThe Star of Greece, or Pearl.

Take a ride through McLaren Vale on the art trail, discovering sculptures (D'Arenberg Cube is but one of them!) and exhibitions.

Spot wildlife as you ride along the Flat to Vale Trail - and continue along Blewitt Springs Rd to feed wildlife in to Woodstock Wines' nature reserve.

Hire a TukTuk for a wine tour with a quirky twist!

For the cyclist who likes a challenge...ride a section of the Tour Down Under route - anyone up for Willunga Hill ??

Oooh the beaches!!!

Yes, the bike trails connect McLaren Vale with the coastline, and what a coast line! There are shared trails (walking and cycling) along the esplanades for much of the coastline, and loops that can bring you back to McLaren Vale along bike trails.

Does it sound fantastic but overwhelming? Its not! If you have specific places you want to visit we are happy to advise on the best route, but if there is just too much to choose from, we can also give you a great itinerary that requires no planning on your part!
