Do you have different sizes of ebikes?

Yes, we have various options for taller and shorter riders - please let us know when you book if you have specific size requirements and we will endeavor to ensure we have you on a suitable ebike.

Do I have to pedal when riding an ebike?

Yes! The ebikes provide assistance when you pedal making your ride exhilarating and giving you the ability to tackle more difficult terrain than you might wish to ride on a non-electirc bike. However, an ebike is still a bike. In Australia, bikes (and so eBikes) must have pedalling as the primary source of assistance on public roads and trails.

What route do you recommend?

There are multiple shared use (walking and cycling) trails in the area with new trails being constructed all the time. Many of the backroads also provide fabulous cycling experiences. We can provide advice and maps on the best way to get between venues if you already have an itinerary in mind but we also offer itineraries for self guided tours that are regularly updated as cellar doors alter their opening days/hours.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24 hour** "blame free" cancellation policy. Please contact us with your cancellation request at least 24 hours** before your scheduled booking time and we will arrange a full refund of your hire fee. Within the final 24 hours**, any cancellation will be credited with a 50% voucher to hire our ebikes at a later date.

**48 hours for "Home Delivery"

What about children?

Whilst we do have a limited number of smaller ebikes, we do not have ebikes specifically for children to ride. Some of our ebikes can be fitted with our child seat or trailer (for an additional fee). These ebikes are only available from the Visitor Centre or with Home Delivery. These options are suitable for children up to 22kg. For safety, all riders (including children) must wear helmets, supplied or BYO

Can we stay out longer?

We ask that all ebikes are returned 15 minutes before the closing time of the hire base from where they were collected. A condition of hiring is that we will charge a “late fee” of $1:00/minute/ebike after the posted closing time. With enough warning , however, we may be able to extend your hire to the next day (for an additional fee) but this cannot be guaranteed.

Support on the trails

We support your ride all day.

If you have any issues with our bikes, just call! A Support Team member will be at your side within minutes - bike fixed or replaced so you can be riding again ASAP.

Our bikes have up to 150kms range so no need to worry about flat batteries.

Do you run Tours?

Our new Gourmet Tour begins in August 2024 and combines the fun of eBikes with some of the marvellous produce from the fabulous chefs and winemakers in the area.

This tour can be joined either at Mclaren Vale visitors centre or from the city.

Alternatively, we offer self guided tours.

Can I buy one of your fabulous ebikes?

Yes! We sell both new ebikes and we regularly offer second hand bikes as part of our fleet refurbishment. We have incorporated many different ebikes into our fleet over the years and can give you an unbiased view on the pros and cons of the many options and help you find a suitable ebike for your style of riding.
